the only thing i needed to salvage from twitter was having a pinned post of the blorbeaux art that @carriecmoney drew for me. they turned out so amazing and i was incredibly touched that not only was she interested in hearing about them, she wanted to draw them. every day looking at them brings me incredible happiness and i’m so grateful for the care and effort paid towards my horrible, horrible little men and their awful relationship. 😭😭😭
I love watching two people who can just fight perfectly together, and was like ‘how would you translate this to D&D?’ This is the first attempt, will probably take some tweaking to make it valuble but not overpowered.

You’ve had so much experience fighting side b y side with your companion, it’s like you can guess what they are going to do. As a result you gain the following.
Your two characters can fight from the same space and gain a +1 to attacks while doing so.
When you are within 10 feet of your partner and they successfully makes an attack on their turn, you can use your reaction to make an attack against an enemy within range.
When you are within 10 feet of each other and are both required to make a a saving throw against an area effect, and only one of you passed the other can add the others base modifier being used to their throw in an attempt to pass.]
as someone with a bachelor’s degree in english, i am inexpressibly tired of people telling me to get highly specific jobs that often require highly specific degrees. “just go write for a magazine!” you need a journalism degree for that. “just teach!” you need a teaching certificate, and also fuck you. “just go work at a tutoring place!” tutoring children with learning disabilities, which make up the majority of the clientele at those places, requires not only a teaching certificate but a specialized master’s degree. “just go work at a library!” you need a master’s degree in library science to be a librarian. it is actually a highly skilled and extremely competitive field. you don’t just “go work at a library,” you train for years in the vain hope that you will get one of handful of available jobs. “just go work at a library.” the nerve. the unmitigated gall. “just go work at a library.” ugh.
